What are PFAS?

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are synthetic chemicals found in countless products. They're called "forever chemicals" because they don't break down in the environment and take years to leave your body.

They Accumulate

PFAS build up in your blood, kidneys, and liver over time. Your body eliminates them very slowly, over years, not days.

Invisible & Largely Untested

PFAS are tasteless, odorless, and invisible. There are thousands of PFAS compounds, and utilities aren't required to test for most of them.

Questions about PFAS testing

You can't see, smell, or taste PFAS. The only way to know is to test. Our EPA-certified methods (Methods 1633, 537.1 & 533) detect PFAS at parts per trillion — the same standards used by state agencies and regulators. Far more sensitive than any home test strip, which cannot detect PFAS at all.

Most standard water filters do NOT remove PFAS. Pitcher filters and basic faucet filters are designed for taste and chlorine, not forever chemicals.

Effective PFAS removal requires activated carbon, reverse osmosis, or ion exchange systems specifically rated for PFAS. Testing first tells you if you need specialized filtration.

Your digital report will include specific recommendations based on your results. If PFAS levels exceed EPA guidelines, we'll provide guidance on:

• Filtration systems proven to remove PFAS
• Whether to contact your water utility
• Steps to reduce exposure while you address the issue

Our support team is also available at info@stagingapp18527.cloudwayssites.com for follow-up questions.

There are thousands of types of PFAS chemicals. Utilities aren't required to test for most PFAS compounds, leaving significant gaps in what's monitored.

Even when utilities do test, they may only check for a handful of compounds. The only way to know what's in your water is to test it yourself.

Don't wait to find out.

Forever chemicals are called that for a reason. Get tested. Get answers. Get peace of mind.
